The About A Stool AAS32 barstool is part of HAY’s About A collection, created in close collaboration with designer Hee Welling, featuring chairs with outstanding simplicity and combinability. The bar stool’s streamlined seat is crafted from recycled polypropylene, and its wooden frame is made from walnut and finished with an eco-friendly water-based lacquer. In 2023, HAY updated the entire About A Collection with shells made from 100 % post-consumer plastic. With the About A collection, Hee Welling wanted to reach a new level in the combination of shape, function, comfort, detail, and esthetics. The idea was to develop a chair that would work equally well around a dining table and a conference table, as well as in a restaurant, café or office. Due to their simple and straightforward design, the chairs can be combined with many types of furniture and interiors.
