20th Century Italian Solid Silver Champagne Bucket

Large champagne bucket in 800 solid silver.Completely handmade, it was made by hammering a silver plate and giving it the shape of a 2-seater champagne bucket,The upper barrel was then later embossed, symmetrically reproducing bunches, shoots and grape leaves which were then burnished to highlight the beauty of the workmanship.The heads of the god Bacchus were welded in fusion and then chiseled by hand instead of the handles to facilitate their grip and handling.Italian silverware, already with a centuries-old tradition, had a great development in the twentieth century and produced pieces of the highest quality that the whole world envies. Italian craftsmanship had a kind of new Renaissance after the war. A great many high-quality silverware was born where exceptional pieces were produced that now decorate the most prestigious houses.
