Cassandra Bust

In Greek mythology, Cassandra was revered for her great beauty and was granted the gift of prophecy by the god Apollo. Our classically inspired Cassandra Bust was handmade exclusively for us in the picturesque Northern Italian town of Bassano del Grappa, where fine ceramics have been produced since the 17th century. Using a special white clay called terraglia dolce ("sweet earthenware") found in the nearby Dolomite mountains, skilled family artisans meticulously sculpt each bust by hand to create her exquisite details and timeless expression. Baked at 1000 degrees Celsius, the ceramic shape comes out of the kiln resembling snow white porcelain. Each Cassandra Bust is stamped underneath with "Hand Made in Italy" and signed by the artist.
