Ghostbusters (1984)

After losing their scholastic funding, a group of para-normal investigators decide to go into business for themselves, aiding New York citizens in the removal of ghosts, goblins and other annoying spirits. Comedy-thriller about Manhattan being overrun by ghosts contains great special effects, zany characters, and some of the best laughs of the decade. Oscar nominated title song written and sung by Ray Parker Jr. Followed by a sequel.
