Dovedale — has designed two different humidors, a smaller humidor carrying fifty cigars and a more substantial to take a hundred cigars. Both are lined with Spanish cedar to keep the humidity, each with a magnetised case to hold your humidifier sachets. The boxes themselves made from thousands-of-years-old bog oak, have brass detailing and finger joints. The larger hundred cigar humidor has two level with a tray and a secret lower draw for your matches, lighters and cigar cutters. The wood we have selected for this project is an indigenous, bog oak from the north of Cambridgeshire. This wood is thousands of years old, with some pieces dating back to 3000 B.C. Submerged in anaerobic conditions the oak reacts with the minerals and acids in the soil to develop its stunning character and unique colouration. Our boxes are constructed using solid bog oak with traditional horn finger joints as the detail. They are then treated with light Danish oil, enhancing the natural hue of the wood.
