Mad Max (1980)

Set on the stark highways of the post-nuclear future, an ex-cop seeks personal revenge against a rovin' band of vicious outlaw bikers who killed his wife and child. Futuristic scenery and excellent stunt work make for an exceptionally entertaining action-packed adventure. Followed by The Road Warrior (also known as Mad Max 2) in 1981 and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome in 1985.
