Module Mechanical Pencil

Brutalist architecture meets creative design in 22Studio’s Module Series of writing tools. Inspired by béton brut or raw concrete buildings, the Module Mechanical Pencil translates large-scale construction techniques in a miniature form. The mechanical pencil is crafted from high-density, specially cured concrete. In a nod to the concrete plate building method and the tradition of using geometric planes to create curved elements, the pencil has multiple facets and marks reminiscent of drilling holes. Lines mark the joints between the concrete plates. Plus, the tip has an especially contracted shape completed using a custom technique that requires manual skills and time. Like raw concrete structures, the Module Mechanical Pencil has an unfinished surface which will develop a patina and a smoother surface with use. This pencil comes with a 0.5mm lead.
