Founded by a French priest, Adrien Céleste Pillon, Ercuis originally created silver items for use in church services. The factory quickly branched out into dinnerware and silverware for royal houses as well. Today, Ercuis carries on the tradition through the works of craftsmen who care about quality, detail and passion. At 63 microns, the silverplating used in the Ercuis flatware collections is almost double the industry standard. In addition, the company's specialized plating machinery places an extra deposit of silver on all the areas of the cutlery that get the most wear.
