The back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions began their title defense by opening the NHL season with a game against the St. Louis Blues. Former Penguins coach Badger Bob Johnson came to Pittsburgh in 1990 with a dream of one day raising just one banner into the rafters, he must be smiling down to see how many banners are hanging from there today.
