Platner Ottoman

The airy, steel structure of the Platner Ottoman (1966) requires up to 1,000 welds per piece to create. It's emblematic of designer Warren Platner's belief that there's room in modernism “for the kind of decorative, gentle, graceful design that appeared in a period style like Louis XV." Platner worked with design giants I.M. Pei and Eero Saarinen before developing the intricately structured yet clean-lined Platner Collection (1966). Topped with plush domed upholstery, this eye-catching ottoman adds comfort to any chairs in the collection or can serve as seating on its own. Made in Italy.
