Using a resin binder, these inert but natural materials — base, hemp, cork, fragments of stone, and metals— are blended together in a way that seems tocome from a distant world or ancient aesthetic and together create an entirelyeco-sustainable product. Steidl founds his creative path by researching the relationship between the components of the project, observing the behaviors linked to the daily use of objects and by the ideation of formal concepts that he represents through drawing. Over the years he has developed an in-depth knowledge of the production of brands linked to design, and is utilizing it to combine the design process with the production process.Sima sofa was part of Falling Into Life presented at Milan Design Week 2022, a tribute to early 20th-century Art Nouveau, combining organic lines, decorative richness, and free experimentation. The event explores the relationship between nature, art, and design, bringing projects to life that integrate impressive craftsmanship with innovative materials. The exhibition invites the audience to experience a unique sensory journey through the sinuous, sculptural forms of the pieces, telling a dialogue between the past, present, and future of design, celebrating the uniqueness and creativity of each project.Open edition.Standard production time is approximately 8–9 weeks once current stock is sold out.One piece available for immediate delivery. For projects involving multiple units, production time may vary.
