When we set out to design a new chair, we wanted to create a product that makes comfort effortless, looks great in any space and was unlike anything we’ve ever created before. It was this notion of ‘Going Beyond’ and pushing the boundaries of material science and design that helped inspire the name of this chair. The Kármán Line is where the earth’s atmosphere meets space, weightlessness becomes possible and going beyond becomes a reality. It goes beyond the expectations of a traditional mesh office chair and provides a completely new sitting experience. Steelcase Karman also uses sustainable materials and the least number of components necessary.
