For added protection when working with high-heat items, we recommend layering Insul-Bright with cotton batting to absorb steam vapor. This is especially important for projects like pot holders or oven mitts, where condensation may occur when a hot item meets cooler air. Please note: Insul-Bright is not microwave safe and should never be placed directly in an oven or microwave. Insul-Bright is ideal for projects like soft lunch sacks, grocery totes, oven mitts, casserole covers, and even ironing board covers. The soft-crinkle noise it makes also makes it ideal for use in soft books for children. Pre-Wash & Care Instructions: Note that pre-washing is optional. Insul-Bright will not shrink. To pre-wash (if desired): hand soak in mild detergent for 20 minutes, rinse thoroughly, gently squeeze (do not wring), and lay flat to dry or tumble dry on low.
