The Waterboy (1998)

Another in a continuing line of deliberately stupid comedies finds Sandler a not-too-bright, constantly picked-on waterboy for a lousy Louisiana college football team. After a player taunts him once too often, he tackles the big guy, and is suddenly promoted to player--much to the dismay of his over-protective mother, Bates. Loser player turns loser team into winners after some contrived obstacles you've seen it before, but Sandler cultists (and less discerning football fans) will love it anyway.
