Two Gallon

Antique English Copper Two-Gallon "Haystack" Jug , getting its name from its resemblance to a 19th-century haystack. Constructed with the lost art of a brass dovetail seam and adorned with a bold "2 Gallon" inscription on the front. These large jugs are increasingly difficult to find. Inside the lip are official 1869 lead weights and measures stamp (denoting authenticated size mandated by the crown), and brand plaque for the Prestigious Farrow & Jackson, London.
