Tres Stripes Rug

The Nanimarquina Tres Stripes Rug was created by Marquina herself to pay tribute to the ancient craft of hand weaving. In order to show off the three individual materials used to make the rug (New Zealand wool, wool felt, cotton), the rug is hand loomed in three distinctive sections before being connected together. The flat woven dhurrie style of the rug also celebrates the rug weaving tradition.
