Wow! This chair and footstool set from the 1940's tells such a story! You can just picture man and wife working on this handcrafted piece together as one builds the wooden frame, and the other hand stitches the beautiful needlepoint upholstery! They are made of solid mahogany with a beautiful carved detail across the top. The hand stitched needlepoint has shades of olive and black with touches of crimson, pink, yellow and violet with a nailhead trim. The back of the chair is upholstered with a solid black needlepoint with a gimp trim. There is wear throughout, but it really adds to its vintage charm. You can just picture relaxing in this cozy chair with your feet up after long day on the farm! Chair measures 34" wide x 48" deep x 48" high. Seat height is 17-1/2" x 22" wide. Arm height is 24" high x 6" wide. Ottoman measures 25 1/2" wide x 13-1/2" deep x 11" high.
