1950s A. Brandt Ranch "Cowboy Classics" Oak Arm Chair

Chairish

$650

The light oak color, referred to as Natural Oak, finished with white wax detailing, was believed to be produced, circa 1950's. It's natural oak finish and white wax is still visible, a handsome example of an "A. Brandt" arm chair. These chairs were built to be indestructible, and still are desirable. This chair shows minor wear and would be a handsome addition to any home. A little about the A. Brandt Company, Inc.’s. The Ranch Oak line debuted in Fort Worth, TX in 1938 and continued being manufactured into the early 1980’s. In 1986 the company was sold. From Wolf Ranch Oak, "Many of the earliest furniture designs depicted icons of ranch life carved into oak. Pictorial carvings included horses, horse heads and horseshoes, longhorns, campfires, saguaro and prickly pear cactus, and even a western scene of a cowboy riding a bucking bronco. By 1970, it seems likely from looking through factory catalogs that very few if any western motif-carved pieces were still being produced."
