A graphic Modernist silhouette gives this pair of vintage wooden armchairs a timeless appeal. Produced in the former Czechoslovakia in the 1960s, the design is attributed to Jaroslav Smidek, who designed for many prominent Czech furniture makers of the mid-20th Century. These chairs combine the cushioned comfort of a gently reclined seat with the keen lines of an angular wooden frame. The seat has been freshly re-upholstered in dove-grey linen, creating a stylish yet soothing color palette alongside the inky black of the painted wood.
