The Akademia Armrest chair by Nikari is a harmonious and refined oak wood chair designed by Wesley Walters and Salla Luhtasela, also known as Studio Kaksikko. The balanced and organic appeal of the Akademia chair was influenced by Scandinavian design heritage, Japanese esthetics, as well as the simple and honest Shaker style. Characterized by softly rounded shapes, the Akademia Armrest chair can be used by the dining table or desk, or as an individual side chair in any room. As its name suggests, the Akademia chair originates from the academic world – the chair was a result of Wesley Walters' Master's thesis work at Aalto University, Helsinki.
