A Antique Country French Provincial Carved Armchair, 18th Century Made in France, in the 18th century. Probably 1770’s Neat carved frame, with carved knees on front legs, and a carved shell and acanthus leaves on the crest rail, and serpentine front seat rail. Needlepoint seat. Appears to retain the original seat frame. The frame appears to be made from a soft type of fruitwood, or a French maple. Size: 24” wide, 19” deep, 39” tall, and a 16” seat height. Condition: Refinished surface. General use and wear marks associated with age, and use. Missing one corner block on the left hand side knee return. Some light staining/soil marks on the seat.
