Strikingly distinctive form in the manner of the 'Old Saxon' chair Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order Quality oak stocks present fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays The chair presented in a warm caramel hue throughout Superb shape, with the triangular motif and impressively thick stocks Profusely engraved back rest, the pattern repeated upon the reverse Dramatic angled bobbin turned arms meet pleasingly thick supports Legs united with turned stretchers and adjoined with a pair of front rails This is a delightful antique turner's armchair, with a pleasingly distinctive appearance redolent of the original 17th century example.
