A smart and extremely well made early antique Victorian leather armchair. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1840-1850 period. It is of very fine quality, it is extremely comfortable and it is a useful size. Perfect for use as a library chair, occasional side chair or desk chair. It sits on beautifully turned and fluted solid legs, the leather upholstery is nicely worn and has a lovely overall patina. This is in great condition for its age, the leather and legs have no major damage, just the right amount of wear with some small surface marks and scuffs to the edges here and there.
