Beautiful, oak armchair, opus number 467. Design ‘t Binnenhuis, Raadhuisstraat, Amsterdam, 1905-1906. Nice red upholstery and brand mark underneath its seat. In a good, solid condition. Dimensions: 87,5 x 60 x 58 cm (hxbxd). About the maker: Van den Bosch was one of the most prominent Dutch interior designers from early 20th century. His sleek and sparsely decorated furniture and utensils from the period around 1900-1915, which were mostly designed based on a geometric system, were, along with those of Berlage and Penaat, influential within the 'constructive' movement. His later work, characterized by rounder shapes and somewhat richer ornamentation, aligns in design with the Amsterdam School.
