This authentic LC2 Petit Modele black leather armchair originally designed by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret in 1928 was made in Italy by Cassina in 1983. The LC2 Petit Modele chair is compact, heavy and sturdy and deeply comfortable, with iconic tubular steel frame that cradles loose, oversized cushions. This chair features classic black top-grain semi-aniline leather upholstery with a polished chrome tubular steel frame and nickel-plated steel glides. Original impressed mark 'LC2 009904' with Cassina logo and Le Corbusier signature to chrome frame. Cassina Since 1965, Italian furniture manufacturer Cassina has held exclusive manufacturing rights to the LC collection, including the LC2. Cassina is recognized worldwide for its high quality workmanship and use of premium materials in production collaboration with 20th century Modernist design pioneers. CONDITION Excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Chrome frame is bright and clean. Leather is soft and supple and nicely broken in with minor indentations, creases, rubbing, scuffs and surface marks expected from typical use over time and as per photos.
