A beautifully preserved Hepplewhite-style mahogany armchair dating to approximately 1880–1920. This elegant piece features an open diamond lattice back, gracefully scrolled open arms with carved rosette terminals, a reeded seat rail, and slender tapered legs with spade feet — all hallmarks of the neoclassical Georgian tradition popularized by George Hepplewhite's 1788 pattern book. The drop-in seat is upholstered in rich crimson velvet. The dark mahogany frame retains a warm, deep finish with excellent carved detail throughout. The underside reveals traditional woven jute webbing construction consistent with quality period furniture making.
