Design Plus Gallery presents a Lancaster Sack-Back Arm Chair from the Late 18th Century. The chair has a bowed crest rail mortised into a continuous rear rail with eleven spindles, seven of which are full height. The continuous rail terminates in carved knuckle handholds above baluster and ring turned arm supports. All over an elliptical seat with carved gutter and a prominent pommel, ring and socket legs, terminating in blunt arrow feet that are then joined by turned baluster and ring medial stretcher.
