Early Edition Model Brigadier Cubist Leather Armchair By Cini Boeri For Gavina, Italy, 1972
Chairish$5,017
Early edition Brigadier low armchair designed by the famous architect and designer Cini Boeri (1924-2020) in the 1970s. She studied at the Milan Polytechnic, graduating in architecture in 1951. The sculptural armchair was produced by the traditional manufacturer Gavina in Italy in the first half of the 1970s, before the company was taken over by Knoll International during the late 1970s. Later in the middle of the 1980s Knoll only continued producing the Brigadier two- and three-seater sofas. So today this piece is a very rare high-quality Italian design classic. It features a cubist, early postmodern design frame with a high-gloss paintwork finish. This sculptural armchair is in all original condition with small damages and older paint repairs (e.g. edges and corners). Also the straps of the seat are still original. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
