First, I should mention that these chairs look so much like leather chairs, it's incredible to see in person. The simulation is spectacular. They have been newly reupholstered, and the material is a very expensive vegan leather as the former owners we in fact, strict vegans and wouldn't even wear leather shoes. The upholstery and condition of the frames are very good, and the carving of the frames is absolutely exceptional. If I did not mention they were not leather, I promise you'd never know. They are that good. But the frames are what we're here for anyway and they are sublime. They date to teh 1890s-1900s era and are French Louis XVI style.
