Louis XVI-style chair from the 18th century. The frame has a trapezoidal back. On each side of the top of the chair there is a carved feather panache. The top rail is arched in the center. Curving and padded arms. The legs are circular, tapering and fluted and terminate in ball feet. The rear legs are slightly canted. A very similar chair was purchased by Thomas Jefferson in France.
