Quite an attractive pair of 19th century French Louis XVI style barrel back neoclassical armchairs. The carved frames with rich wood tone is complementary to the worn tacked pinkish red colored leather, finished with nailhead trim. It also features finely carved details armrests with acanthus scroll motif, carved apron and other detailing resting on four carved tapered and fluted feet. The backrest and sides are stuffed for extra comfort. The seats retaining the original cane work with loose suede seat cushion. The richness of the leather's color, combined with the lovely choice of the Louis XV style brings great attention to their presence. Very elegant and comfortable piece which could be an accent in any type of interior.
