German Bauhaus Armchair In Leather Attributed To G. Rohde For Mauser, 1930s

Chairish

$1,512

Maker: Mauser Architect: Gilbert Rohde As a result of the cartel agreement with the Mauser company, the production of this chair was also made by the Thonet company and, under the license with the Thonet company, by Czech makers of tubular furniture. According to the original process, our professional refurbishing team in Czechia has restored and reupholstered the item. The chrome parts have been cleaned and professionally restored. This item features classic Bauhaus design elements. Elements of this style are neutral colors and occasional bright primary colors. Bauhaus designers avoided the fussy and pretentious, looking for clean, modern lines. Perfect for a timeless yet modern look. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
