The 'Green Street Chairs' black resin armchairs were the first chairs created in Gaetano Pesce's studio by the artist himself in 1982. Vitra's production followed, featuring a thinner, shinier material. The first chairs and armchairs, made in Pesce's studio, featured thicker, more opaque resin and were free of stamps. They were Brutalist prototypes faithful to the artist's vision.
