Italian mid-century modern armchair 877 by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina, 1959 Armchair mod. 877 in brown velvet-like fabric. The backrest has two lateral headrests at the top, this line continues up to the armrests. The armchair is built on a central wooden shell left exposed at the point where the side panels meet. The four feet are made of square-section wood. Produced by Cassina in 1959 and designed by Gianfranco Frattini. Good condition, with two holes on the side of the seat in both the fabric and the padding. There are generic signs of aging on the wooden structure and on the fabric, especially on the headrests.
