This is a unique hand carved petite chair with a French Colonial Lyre back, scrolled flared arms, cabriolet front legs and a hand tied caned seat in perfect condition. The wood appears to be an exotic species, possibly padauk, monkey Pod, Parota or possibly teak. It has the look of a French oak, a grayish blonde wood with caramel tones. It's just gorgeous. This could be a child's chair or a sitting chair for a petite person, but it's decor in and of itself. There is no maker's mark.
