Late Federal pair of painted New England armchairs having wonderful, scrolled arms, gilt stenciling, rush seats, and custom feather down pillows. These chairs have dowel joinery and are incredibly sturdy. They are also very clean without any flaking of the finish. Circa 1820-30. Note.
