-Rare Vintage ARTEK Alvar AALTO Arm CHAIR 47 Armchair, Birch + Black Gray Wool Weave, Mid-Century Modern Danish Scandinavian -Uncommonly seen and highly collectible design by Alvar Aalto for Artek, circa 1950s production. Birch bentwood frame (arms and legs) with padded backrest and padded and sprung seat covered in wool weave upholstery. Arms are wrapped with black leather cord. -Fabric color is black / gray with a lighter color woven in (see photos). -Approximate dimensions: 33" high, 25" wide, 24" deep overall. 16" seat height (along the front edge), 24" arm height. -Overall good vintage condition with light wear and no significant damages. Minor nicks and scuffs on the arms and legs. The left rear leg has some staining or discoloration. One upholstery button is missing. The fabric shows light wear and typical patina with use and age. Some light streaks on the back side (not as noticeable in person). Cleaning or restoration has not been attempted by us.
