Designed by norwegian supremo ingmar relling and made in norway by westnofa in the 1970s, this wonderfully cool sling-back lounge chair will add stunning curves, colour and comfort, and a knockout relaxed-yet-distinguished mid-century aesthetic to any interior. impressively sized but easily moveable and not overly heavy, this striking high-back armchair features a rare rosewood veneered bentwood cantilever frame with a canvas sling-back and a plump, sectionally-stitched and buttoned, excellent quality single-piece leather over-cushion. the cantilever frame design is a superb arrangement of sleek, sweeping curves and features a particularly rare design of upturned ‘u’ legs beneath gracefully sweeping arms. Generously sized and with a perfectly angled back for a super-relaxing sit, the bentwood cantilever design allows for gentle rocking, ensuring extreme comfort and making this visually stunning lounge chair a dream to sit in. all in all this is splendid and very rare armchair, which will impress and add comfort, quality and a distinguished 1970s-scandi-cool aesthetic to any setting. condition this super lounge chair is in very good vintage condition. Solid, sturdy and structurally sound, the excellent quality single-piece leather cushion is in remarkable condition and has been treated to keep it rejuvenated and looking its best, and the canvas sling-back and bentwood frame have minor, to-be-expected marks and dinks to show their not-inconsiderable age.
