This refined Mid Century Modern chair was realized by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates in the United States, circa 1970. It features a sculptural base with hourglass form cross slats and subtly splayed legs all in handrubbed walnut. Additionally, the chair offers rounded slightly cantilevered arms; a tapered geometric high back with button detailing; and a gently rounded seat. This piece reflects the understated dynamism and bold forms that have made Adrian Pearsall one of the most enduring American designers of the 20th century.
