Mid-Century Wicker Bergère Armchair Attributed To Eugenia Alberti Reggio For Ciceri, 1950

Chairish

$1,730

A piece of great charm that reinterprets the archetype of the armchair by subtraction, emptying its padding without depriving itself of comfort and "lightening" with the use of natural fibers. The structure in the rush with cortex draws comfortable armrests and the typical "ears" of the Bergère model, all held together by the bindings and by a real hand -made wicker texture. This model designed by Eugenia Alberti Reggio for Ciceri was exhibited at the Milan Triennale of 1951 in the "Straw, Giuco and Wicker" section. The armchair has been partially restored in the texture and polished. There is an imperfection in the weaving on the back which can be seen in the photos. For more information do not hesitate to contact us. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
