Razorblade Armchairs By Henning Kjærnulf For Eg Møbler, Denmark, 1960s, Set Of 2

Chairish

$8,533

This rare pair of armchairs was designed by Henning (Henry) Kjærnulf and produced by EG Møbler in Denmark during the 1960s. Part of the designer’s celebrated Razorblade series, the chairs showcase a refined balance of bold form and organic elegance. A total of four chairs are available and may be purchased as a complete set or in pairs; the present listing refers to one pair. Crafted entirely in solid oak, the design is defined by a sculptural backrest carved in a blade-inspired profile, with subtle undulations that lend the piece its distinctive character. Striking carved details extend to the legs and stiles, enhancing the expressive quality of the silhouette. with their strong presence and harmonious proportions, the armchairs are as captivating from the back and sides as they are from the front, making them ideal for placement in the center of a room. The pair has been fully restored: the oak frames refreshed while preserving their warm patina, and the seats newly upholstered in an ivory/light cream bouclé jacquard fabric from Nobilis Paris, with a rich, tactile texture. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
