A Regency style carved oak open armchair from England, late 19th century but modern feel.. It has a rounded tablet crest flanked by rounded-top stiles issuing flat arms on reeded supports, over an over-the-rail trapezoidal seat upholstered in green leather, raised on reeded square-section legs joined by a box stretcher with molded stylized chain design on front stretcher. Love the chain front stretcher. I got this gorgeous piece at a quiet auction. Priced well! 38 inches overall height; 21 inches wide, 18 inches deep CONDITION: appears to be in good condition; leather upholstery may be later. Small break to front of chair at seat rail.
