Scandinavian modern “Seal” armchair designed by Ib Kofod Larsen, Denmark. Made by OPE, Olof Persson Möbler, Jönköping Sweden. “Sälen”, as is the original name of the chair, is from the 1950s to 1960s, designed in 1956 and marked underneath the seat “OPE”. The frame is made in teak and it has a padded seat and back with original upholstery. The upholstery has some signs of distress. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
