Pair of carved oak 19th century armchairs circa 1890. Good quality pair of chairs very much in the taste of chippendale. Typical shaped backrest with carved detailing. Scrolled arms and supports, further carving to the front rail. Standing on front carved cabriole legs, with tapering legs to the rear. Good rich colour to woodwork. Drop in seats covered in a later star fabric on a blue background. Minor surface marks. Good generous seat.
