Beautiful armchair and foot stool, designed by Edmund Homa. The armchair was made in the 1960s in the Gosciecinska Furniture Factory from solid beechwood. The GFM type armchair is regarded one of the best polish armchair design from the previous age. The armchair have been thoroughly renovated. The tension belts have been changed, new upholstery foams - upholstery material has been used - light white and aqua upholstery fabric of the highest quality. We can prepare this armchair and stool also in another wood and fabric option.Edmund Homa(born in 1927 in Chojnice, died on 3 April 2017 in Gdynia)interior architect, designer. He studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, graduated in 1955 from the Faculty of Architecture in the studio of prof. Lech Kadlubowski. From 1952 to 1955, he worked at CBKO No. 1 in Gdansk, in the art design section of the Ship Interior Design Department. He dealt with interior design for m / s "Marceli Nowotko", conventional trawlers type B-14 and B-62 and the first version of the Fishing Base. From 1955, he cooperated with the company "Reklama", Z. S. Spolem and Zaklady Art. he designed the interior of a radio and television showroom in Gdynia, Dom Rzemiosla in Chojnice, a hotel hotel in Zaklady Celulozy i Papieru in Swiecie, Prefabricated Manufacturing Plant in Reda, Zaklady Dziewiarskie in Turek and Zaklady Rybnych in Gdansk. From 1961, he worked in the modeling unit of Fabryka Mebli in Gosciniec and participated in competitions and exhibitions, both in Poland and abroad, related to furniture design. In the years 1978-1982, he was a member of the Artistic Council at the District Board of the Union of Polish Artists and Designers in Gdansk.
