The ‘Tupa’ armchair was designed by Reino Ruokolainen whilst working as the artistic director for Haimi. Haimi specialized in manufacturing modern, high-quality furniture and was one of the best-known furniture companies at the time in Finland. During his time with Haimi, Ruokolainen mostly made wooden furniture in the Finnish mid-century style. For this specific armchair, he chose to work with an oak frame, which has acquired a nice patina and slight wear over the years. The cushions have been reupholstered in white bouclé fabric. Underneath the chair the manufacturers mark can be found. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
