"Marseille" is an antique french occasional chair that has been completely stripped down to the bare bones and built back up again using earth friendly traditional upholstery techniques. The chair has been 8-way hand-tied with coil springs then filled with horsehair and natural cotton to create a comfy seat. The front is covered with hand painted velvet fabric by Kevin O'Brien in a beautiful light blue and brown ombre. It's finished with brush fringe on the front to create a unique, one-of-a-kind look. The fabric on the back is a complimentary burn- out hand painted velvet by Kevin O'Brien as well. The chair finish has been stripped, sanded and left with a tiny bit of white paint showing through to create a well worn patina on the original frame.
