Carl Malmsten Samsas armchair for O.H. Sjögren from the mid 20th century. The chair is a Swedish modern classic and the Samsas series is today recognised as the most characteristic designs from Malmsten. The armchairs Samsas is a 1960s favourite that has its origin in the chair Konsert which Carl Malmsten designed for Konserthuset in 1923. The chair is elegant with smaller measurements but still has generous proportions that make them comfortable as well as stylish. The seat depth is 51 cm and seat height is 42 cm. Original upholstery with minor traces of wear and good padding. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
