This Wassily chair was purchased in NYC in the 1960’s. It has welded and polished caps, and the deeper slightly canted back angle tube at top. No maker's mark is visible. We could assume that this is an authentic Marcel Breuer based on those features, but since there isn't a maker's tag present, it will be attributed to Marcel Breuer. The dark brown leather is in good condition with a slight patina on the edges. The leather is heavier than any I've seen on a Wassily chair.
