Age and origin: The cabinet probably dates from around 1760 and is likely to have originated in France. Dimensions: Height approx. 182 cm, body width approx. 139 cm, cornice width approx. 149 cm, body depth approx. 60 cm, cornice depth approx. 67 cm, inside depth approx. 50 cm. Construction: The cabinet cannot be dismantled and consists of one piece; the doors can be unscrewed. Condition: Good used condition with signs of wear, partially restored, minimal damage, old restoration, see pictures. The piece of furniture has no active worm infestation. Pictures are part of the auction. Description: Unusual French Baroque cabinet from around 1760. The cabinet has two doors at the front with very large original door fittings and door hinges that are as long as the doors are high. In the lower part there are three drawers with thread inlays. In the base there are inlays depicting a flower basket with climbing flowers. The door panels, cornices, and base area are ornate and curved, as was customary in the mid-18th century. The cabinet is made of cherry wood and the inlays are of various woods. Inside, there are two shelves which, like the entire interior, are expertly covered with fabric.
